Special day for the girls

Sarah North and Emily Rees - Both girls have received their RSCM red ribbons in the ‘Voice for Life’ scheme. Sarah was awarded hers in March this year, and Emily on 6th July 2008. Emily was awarded hers by David Prescot, pictured with the girls, and Sarah, by her father, Rob North.

Both choristers are dedicated members of St Nicholas' church choir

Young Choristers at St Nicholas’, Hereford, follow the R.S.C.M. “Voice for Life” Scheme, where they are encouraged to work towards targets both musical and non-musical. On completion of these they are awarded a medal to wear with light blue, dark blue and red ribbons respectively. Five of our choristers have achieved a further, regional, award in this scheme and have recently become Deans Choristers, all gaining very high marks in their examination; To gain this award they had to prepare and sing a hymn, a psalm and an anthemn which they sang to an RSCM examiner. They also performed varied musical skills and exercises and had to answer questions about their choice of music and the respective composers. We are justifiably proud of our talented singers:- Georhe Edwads, James Hawley, James Tomkins, Lucia Carini and Emily Tomkins........................
